Three plain promises

What every class here guarantees

You will never be asked to hold a pose you have not been taught. See how the first four weeks unfold.

The first month

Four weeks, one calm step at a time

Each week adds one skill to the last. You will never be asked to hold a pose you have not been taught.

  1. Week 1

    Breath and standing base

You will be able to settle your breath, stand evenly on both feet and find a neutral spine in simple standing shapes.

  2. Week 2

    Support and controlled movement

You will be able to move between floor and standing with support props, keeping motion slow and body awareness clear.

  3. Week 3

    Spine and breath together

You will be able to link a simple spinal sequence to your inhale and exhale without losing your base.

  4. Week 4

A short sequence of your own

You will be able to run a complete beginner sequence from setup to rest, and repeat it at home safely.

Our teaching standard

What we do, and what we never do

Beginners get a clear method, not a performance. Here is the boundary we hold in every small-group session at the Kyiv Podil studio.

What we do

  • Cap every group at six people, so the teacher sees your setup.
  • Start with the foundational techniques: standing base, breath, and support under the hands.
  • Explain body awareness before we add speed or load.
  • Offer props and a simpler version whenever a shape feels unstable.
  • Move at a controlled, comfortable learning progression across four weeks.
  • Show you the access details for 12 Nyzhniy Val Street only after you book.

What we never do

  • Never promise medical outcomes or treat injuries. Our instructors are movement teachers.
  • Never put a beginner in an advanced class to fill a slot.
  • Never teach a pose we have not prepared you for.
  • Never sell a membership you cannot pause or ask about first.
  • Never use before-and-after photos or star ratings as proof of progress.
  • Never rush you through breath work to keep the room on schedule.

You will never be asked to hold a pose you have not been taught. Read the four-week progression or request a place in the next group.

Questions, answered

What beginners ask before the first class

You will never be asked to hold a pose you have not been taught.

I have never done yoga or pilates. Where do I start?

Start with the four-week beginner course. Week one is breath and a standing base, and each lesson adds one new skill only after the last one feels steady. No prior experience is needed, and you can join the next group whenever you are ready.

What if I am not flexible or strong enough?

Flexibility is a result of practice, not a requirement for joining. Mats, blocks, a chair and the wall are part of the setup, and every position has a supported version.

What should I bring and wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in and a bottle of water. Mats, props and small equipment are provided. Yoga is practised barefoot; pilates sessions use grip socks.

Is it safe if I have back pain or an old injury?

Tell us before your first session. Our instructors are movement teachers, not medical providers, so for any injury, pregnancy or recent surgery we ask you to confirm clearance with your doctor first. Classes are general movement training and are not a substitute for medical care.

How many people are in a group?

Six people at most, and beginner groups often run smaller. That is what lets the teacher slow a movement down and correct your alignment instead of moving on.

Where is the studio, and how do I get in?

12 Nyzhniy Val Street in Kyiv Podil, a short walk from Kontraktova Square. The exact entrance and door code arrive with your booking confirmation.

Health note: our classes are general movement training, not therapy. Read the health disclaimer or ask a question before you book.
